impressive stay but lacked a welcoming entrance
The afternoon tea was delightful, with a superb selection of treats presented beautifully. The room was impeccably maintained, showcasing a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
The entrance didn't quite give the warm welcome I expected.

The spa facilities were a real treat. Dining options felt limited during lunch. I enjoyed the billiards room in the evenings. Some staff interactions could improve.

Our one-night stay was quite the treat. we loved the delicious food and enjoyed a relaxing massage followed by time in the steam room. The décor in our Superior Double Room was lovely and inviting, making it a comfortable retreat after a long day. The only minor downside was the slightly limited spa facilities, but I’d still highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway! 😊

Beautiful historical architecture.
I was really disappointed with the service during my stay. The staff seemed untrained , especially when a dirty quilt cover was brought to my attention but no adequate response was given. the food quality was unacceptable for the price. my dinner was incorrectly served, and the apology offered felt insincere and insufficient.

Amazing experience!
This place is seriously stunning! We checked in and felt right at home. The grounds were beautiful for a stroll. Our room was so comfy, like sleeping on clouds. The room service was top-notch, especially the breakfast. Just one thing – we wished the bar was open a bit later. Can’t wait to come back again!

The Superior Double Room was really nice! The bed was super comfy, and I loved the decor—it had character. The turn-down service with the pillow spray was a cool touch for a great night's sleep. I wished there were more information about the hotel amenities at check-in. it felt a bit rushed. the room felt luxurious yet cozy.

Unique outdoor areas, particularly the expansive grounds and manicured gardens, offer a great backdrop for a leisurely stroll. The log fire in the reception rooms creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect to unwind with a drink is also a highlight.
The decor feels a touch tired, especially the rooms, which might detract from the overall charm—think worn carpets and some dated furnishings. The spa has limited hours, with unexpected fees for extended use, which isn’t ideal if you've planned a full day of relaxation. Menu variations can leave you feeling confused, and ordering can feel rushed, impacting the dining experience, which should be more laid-back given the setting. A couple of amenities just didn’t measure up to the expectations set by the impressive exterior.
